persolog History
Like every successful company, persolog has an interesting history:
It begins in 1972 as the D-I-S-C model comes on to the U.S. market, where it quickly establishes itself. Our CEO Friedbert Gay recognises the potential and introduces the model in Germany in 1990. Today the psychologically constantly optimised persolog Personality Factor Model with the behavioural dimensions D, I, S and C forms the core of our operations. Apart from the persolog Personality Factor Model we offer many further tools for personnel and organisational development - in 17 countries, world-wide.
The persolog Personality Factor Model is a success story: it was brought into Europe in 1990. After five years, 600 trainers and personnel managers have already been certified by us to use the model. This breakthrough enabled Friedbert Gay to found DISG Training GmbH in 2000. Today, over 2,600 trainers work with the persolog Personality Factor Model and the number is constantly growing.
Here in Australia our experience with various behavioural preference models goes way back to 1980 and with Prof John Geier's work from 1988 to the present day. We too have trained thousands of people in various products related to the model.
The huge response spurs us on. For this reason we are continuously extending our range of instruments for personnel and organisational development. We place great value on the psychological soundness of our models. In addition to the persolog Personality Factor Model we meanwhile have tools in areas such as self-management, stress management or team dynamics.
In addition to extending the product range, our global reach is also growing. Australia and New Zealand are up and running and further work in Asia, the Pacific Region and in the Americas is underway.
